Camp at Tyndall Creek, Vic La Favre, 1970. This is a favorite photograph of mine. The 1970 trip was the only one in the High Sierra where we cooked over wood fires. In later years we used gas stoves due to park restrictions on the burning of wood in the high country. Thus, our 1970 trip marked the end of an era in the High Sierra, before the popularity of the region necessitated the restrictions of today.
