Fabricated from 2 x 2 x 1/8 inch aluminum angle. Hole for mounting screw is slotted to allow alignment of bar post on the rail for proper centering of cord in u-shaped slot at top. Cut-off saw with abrasive wheel used to cut angle aluminum for bar posts. Milling the slot for the cord with a 3/16 inch end mill. Top five natural bars fitted to instrument. Felt will be glued to both sides of each bar post to prevent buzzing of bars against the aluminum bar posts. Installation of bars complete (bars are not finished or final-tuned yet) |
