slide 127, 1970
Bubbs Canyon, 1970. This was our last day on the trail. Actually, we had planned for another camp on the way to the trail head in Kings Canyon. However, we decided to make the trip from Golden Bear Creek to the trail head in one day. Somewhere near this location, my (Jeff La Favre) right knee became very painful and it was difficult to walk. Our rapid downhill progress was just too much for the knee. But I managed to nurse the knee along and we still made very good time. In later years I also had trouble with the knee, particularly on the 1979 trip in Darwin Canyon.
