Jacob C. La Favre and his brother, Isaac J., served with Company B 67th Indiana Volunteers. They enlisted at Monroe County, Indiana. Jacob and Isaac were both transferred to Company F. 24th Regiment in Dec. 1864. They were mustered out on July 19, 1865 in Galveston, Texas.
Back in the early 30's a George Newton LeFevre researched the La Favre line and noted that Jacob C. was captured and sent to Andersonville Prison. A copy of Jacob's service record does not mention the capture. His brother Isaac was captured in Missouri but escaped in a few weeks.
